Here is the current complete list of non-toxic booster seats on the market. Your initial thought may be, “Hmmm that doesn’t seem like very many options” but amazingly five safe boosters is progress. There are plenty of boosters on the market and unfortunately almost all of them are made with chemical flame retardants and PFAS. These chemicals are very directly linked to many health issues (see slides).

There is a major markup on non-toxic car seats and it’s really frustrating as they price out many families. I’m elated to see the new Chicco ClearFix being very reasonable priced at $109! We just ordered it. We also have the Nuna AACE and love it.

The best way to get safer more affordable options on the market is to contact these companies tell them we want safer more affordable options and to of course buy the safer options!

Here are my favorite and least favorite options for baby wash at Target. The only way to know if a product is non-toxic aka safe for your sweet babe is to read the label. Marketing terms like “hypoallergenic” and “pediatrician approved” mean very little in terms of ingredient integrity.

Main Ingredients to avoid:
x Fragrance, Parfum
x PEG’s
x Phenoxyethanol
X Parabéns
X Phtatles
X SLS, SLES
All of these ingredients have been studied and shown to be linked to health issues.
